The L.E.A.D. certificate is a non-credit, co-curricular series designed to develop students鈥� leadership skills with varied opportunities to discover and enhance their leadership competencies. This program allows students to build their own intentional pathway through the program to facilitate a commitment to their own unique leadership journey.

The L.E.A.D. certificate is intended to help students become change agents by identifying their strengths and leadership style while preparing students for leadership roles and responsibilities on campus, in careers, and in the community.

The following student leadership positions require the LEAD certificate for eligibility: Student Government Association (SGA), Campus Alliance for Student Activities (CASA), RSO e-board members, fraternal life interests, residential assistants (RAs), and New Student Orientation (NSO) leaders.

Scholars who earn a lead certificate will:

• increase their self-awareness of leadership skills
• add an impressive certification to their resumes
• develop skills and define their values to help guide them throughout their time at Morehouse and future endeavors.

HOW TO COMPLETE THE LEAD CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Scholars must:

1. complete the eight (8) required leadership workshops provided in Cohort A (spring semester ) or Cohort B (fall semester)
2. Write a 2-page (maximum) reflection paper and submit it to the writing center for review. Reflection papers are due on annually March 15th.

Certificates are awarded at the end of the academic year in the spring semester but your name is immediately added to the master list that area leaders review to confirm your completion.
